3) Your starship, crewed by 20 scientist and military personnel are on a mission to explore a newly (seen for the first time twenty years ago) discovered M-class planet (can support human life), has suddenly jettisoned its fuel due to an internal fire hazard. The crew is safe, solar panels power the life support systems but you have no fuel to turn or to stop. You have another 2 months to travel before you reach the planet but then, unless you and the crew do something, the ship will just shoot on by and out into the vastness of space.
